Frequently asked questions
This page is a plain-language starting point, not a substitute for our Privacy, Cookies & Health Data policy or Terms of Service, which govern the service and control if anything here is unclear.
Is my data encrypted?
Yes. Every connection to MyGLP1App uses TLS encryption in transit, and everything you store is encrypted at rest with AES-256 by our database provider — this is always on, not a setting anyone has to turn on. Your data is also isolated at the database level: row-level security policies enforce that your account can only ever read or write your own entries, never anyone else's, independent of any application-level check. You can add optional two-step verification in Settings for extra protection on your account itself.
See the Security section of our Privacy Policy for more.
Who can see my data?
Only you, when you're signed in. MyGLP1App has no friends, sharing, or public-profile feature — there is no way for another user to view your entries. Our own admin tools show account status and feedback submissions, not your tracked health entries. A small number of infrastructure providers (hosting, database, email delivery) process data only as needed to run the service; they don't use it for their own purposes. See Service providers and disclosures in our Privacy Policy for the specific list.
What happens if I connect Withings?
MyGLP1App requests only the permission needed to read your body-weight measurements from Withings — nothing about your activity, sleep, devices, or Withings profile. The OAuth credentials that let us sync are stored encrypted, using the same AES-256 approach described above, applied specifically to those credentials. You can disconnect Withings at any time from Settings; disconnecting removes the stored authorization and stops future syncing, but weight readings already imported into your history stay there unless you delete them yourself.
Can I export or delete my data?
Yes, both from Settings, any time you like — no need to email us first, though we're glad to help if you'd rather. You can export a copy of your account and tracked data, delete individual entries, or permanently delete your account and its data.
If you have a Premium subscription, cancel it through the Apple App Store or Google Play before deleting your account if you do not want it to renew. Deleting the app or your MyGLP1App account does not cancel a subscription held by the store.
How does the Premium trial and renewal work?
A one-month free trial is offered with either the monthly or annual plan only if the Apple App Store or Google Play says your account is eligible and you choose Premium and confirm the purchase. Downloading the app or creating an account never starts a trial. The purchase screen shows your localized monthly or annual price and the price due after any trial. Unless you cancel through the store before the trial or current billing period ends, the store charges your account and the subscription renews automatically for the selected period.
How do I restore, manage, or cancel Premium?
In the installed app, open Settings and use Restore purchases if a prior purchase is not recognized. Use Manage subscription to open the Apple or Google account that processed the purchase, where you can review status or stop renewal. Cancellation ordinarily leaves Premium active until the end of the period already paid for; afterward Premium features stop while your data and Free access remain. A later restore or re-subscription can re-enable Premium without deleting your data.
For store instructions, see Apple subscription support or Google Play subscription support.
How do subscription refunds work?
Apple or Google, not MyGLP1App, processes the payment and applies its refund rules and applicable law. A refund is not automatic when you cancel or delete your account. Request an Apple refund through Apple's refund instructions or a Google Play refund through Google Play's refund policy. Email support@myglp1app.com if you need help identifying or troubleshooting the purchase.
Is this medical advice?
No. MyGLP1App is a personal tracking and appointment-prep tool, not a medical device and not a source of medical advice, diagnosis, or dosing recommendations. Always confirm dosing changes and other treatment decisions with your prescriber.
Who runs this, and where is it hosted?
MyGLP1App is owned and operated by MyGLP1App LLC, a Rhode Island limited liability company. It is an independent tracking app and isn't made by, or affiliated with, any medication manufacturer. It runs on Vercel for hosting and Supabase for authentication and the database, both mainstream infrastructure providers chosen in part for encrypting data at rest by default.
